Learn How it Works
Classes are held two Saturdays per month from April through October. They run
from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The classes are $25.00 per person. Seating is limited,
so call now to reserve a seat.
You’ll learn:
• How the gardens are assembled
o We demonstrate how to use cement blocks to frame the beds.
o Show how to create plant support systems using cattle panels,
PVC pipe, flexible PVC tubing and wire tomato cages.
• How to maximize your plantings by planting more than one garden per year
and planting in grids instead of rows
• How to plant your crops so they are ready to harvest when you are
• Organic methods of pest control
Bring your truck or trailer so you can take home your garden and save the cost of shipping!
Why It Works
Pre-Mix, a specially formulated growing medium and Essential Elements, an organic plant
food are mixed together to become a pH balanced growing system.
Pre-Mix:
The patented Pre-Mix is a soil free peat moss based potting mix that contains organic
cotton burr compost and rice hulls. It’s a non-herbicide sprayed compost.
This ideal growing medium allows plants to develop an optimum root system. The plants are
much healthier and less susceptible to diseases and insect damage. They will consistently
absorb tremendous amounts of nutrients and produce big, great tasting, nutritious
vegetables.
The medium will not pack down so no cultivation is necessary and it never needs to be
replaced. After the initial set up, all you do is add one or two bags of Pre-Mix per year to
an average bed, apply Essential Elements and you are ready to plant again.
Essential Elements:
Essential Elements is the result of 20 years of testing, experimenting and tweaking. It
contains over 42 All Natural ingredients, including trace elements and minerals that allow
crops to reach their maximum potential in size and nutrition.
Essential Elements is mixed into the Pre-Mix when setting up a bed and used as side
dressing as the plants develop to their maximum potential. It’s added to the bed before
each new planting.
By applying the right amount of Essential Elements your beds maintain exactly the right pH
level. The amount of Essential Elements needed is determined by the number of gardens
you have and/or plantings per year.
Pest Control:
Use Diatomaceous Earth for organic pest control. We carry the blower as well as 5lb bags
of Diatomaceous earth.
